Jarovnice Talent Tryouts are done!
We thank everyone who helped in selection of the first 100 children for the pilot project “Divé maky – The Chance For Romany Talents From Entire Slovakia.”. The talent tryouts were conducted on a symbolic memorial day – 17 November 2009. The evaluation committee tried to assess talent and motivation in more than 150 Romany children aged 8 to 15 years in the categories vocal performance, dance, visual arts, playing a musical instrument and sports.

What is New with the Project?
To conduct Talent Tryouts in Jarovnice we were promised the help of the amazing Romany singer and educator Ida Kelarová together with her partner and outstanding musician and composer Desiderius Dužda. They will be selecting musical and singing talents within the project in Jarovnice. Divé maky have been collaborating with Ms. Kelarová for the second year in the row so we are looking forward to this event so much! We hope not only to select great talent, but also that the children will take advantage of the chance we offer them and become successful one day by working hard to develop their talent and education.
